Professor David Bellamy Launches Jessup’s Waterfront South development Cycling Challenge Day 4

The Blue Mahoe

On the 3rd of September Bromford Housing Group and Hibiscus Housing Group formally opened a development in Wolverhampton named after the national tree of Jamaica – The Blue Mahoe. The development of nineteen flats was purchased from Jessup, as a complete package by Bromford Housing Group, on behalf of Hibiscus Housing Association.

The guest speaker was Steve Douglas Chief Executive of The Housing Corporation and he was welcomed by, Eseata Steele, Chair of Hibiscus, Mike Kent Chief Executive of Bromford and Leader of Wolverhampton Council Roger Lawrence.

Clive Jessup Managing Director of Jessup comments: “We are pleased that this development has proved so successful. We acquired this site, which was formerly the Tipster public house in Whitmore Reans, and designed and built an attractive development of nineteen flats, which we sold to Bromford Housing as a complete development package.”

The scheme provides two bedroom flats for social rent, aimed primarily, but not exclusively at the African Caribbean community.
