Building for badgers

Working with consultant ecologist Suzy Duke, Jessup recently constructed a complete new badger sett to re-home a family of badgers who will be moved from their existing location in Spring 2016. The existing land is close to a new housing development and the ecologists decided it was best to relocate the badger family to a quieter location a few metres away where they will be able to thrive better.
The badgers are one of many groups who inhabit semi-urban locations in the Dudley area. The new sett, made of corrugated tubing, wooden posts and boards, was designed by the ecologists to provide a new home which will be quick and easy to accommodate. The badger family will be coaxed out of their old sett with a trail of food leading to their new home.
