3 Peaks Challenge 2018
On Friday 13th July 2018 a team from Jessup and a team from RL Plumbing and Heating took on the 3 Peaks Challenge.
The team drove to Wales and ascended Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales via the Pyg Track, starting at 5:33pm. After all the team had successfully descended there was a long drive to the Lake District and the ascent of Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, started at 1:30am, in the dark, lit only by head torches. Everyone was back in the van and on the way to Scotland by 6am.
Meanwhile, the Jessup “Ladies team” had arrived at Ben Nevis to join the main team climbing the final peak. The Ladies Team, lead by MD Clive Jessup, set out on their ascent at 9:30am. The main team got to Ben Nevis at 1:30pm, allowing 5 hours to achieve all 3 peaks in 24 hours.
Everyone arrived back safely at the Ben Nevis visitor centre, successfully completing the challenge within 24 hours. Next stop, the hotel for a well earned drink.
