Home User Guide mobile application
In June 2014, Jessup launched a new mobile application for viewing Home User Guides. This is in addition to the paper based Home User Guide issued with every new home. The application is currently available for Google Android devices and Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod touch devices.
The application requires the homeowner to enter their “Plot reference”, which uniquely identifies each home within a development. The application will download the entire Home User Guide which can be browsed, or downloaded as a PDF document to the device.
In addition, the application will allow the homeowner to report any defects within the agreed warranty period. Defects are notified to the Housing Association to which they relate and also logged centrally.
A mapping function shows the home’s location, along with other local amenities and places of interest. This is based on the familiar Google maps service, which allows map “zooming” and “Street View” functionality.
The application contains a general news feed, and information about Jessup’s “Fit For Life” campaign, aimed at helping people live fitter, healthier lives.
The app can be downloaded from the Google Play or Apple iTunes stores by searching for “Jessup”, or by scanning the relevant QR code below (NOTE: you will need a barcode scanner app on your device to scan these codes. There are free barcode scanner apps available on all the app stores.):-
