LAST PIECE OF THE JIGSAW: Jessup the Cannock based award winning developers, in partnership with Walsall Housing Group have submitted a planning application to Walsall Council for a Well Being Apartment facility at Waterfront South.
This development of forty-four one and two bedroom apartments for residents over 55 years of age will be the last piece of the jigsaw that completes the Waterfront South regeneration project. The development will front the Town Arm of the Walsall Canal with vehicle access from Charles Street. The new development is designed by S. P. Faizey Chartered Architects, who were the architects for the whole Waterfront South scheme.
Clive Jessup comments, “We are delighted to have the opportunity to apply for planning permission for this much needed facility which will provide a positive addition to our major regeneration project at Waterfront South.

Mark Tranter, Head of Development for Walsall Housing Group stated, “The well being scheme will provide new one and two bedroom apartments for persons over 55 offering independent living with additional support if required. We hope that subject to Homes and Communities Agency funding that we will start on site in early 2015.”
The successful Waterfront South project includes apartments, housing, an NHS Birthing unit and Talent Navigator Hub, it has been the catalyst to kick-start the regeneration of the whole canal side Waterfront area. The North side of the canal with its hotel, cinema and leisure facilities will add further appeal to this important central area of Walsall.
